The “Pavilion of Dream Transport Museum” by Techart featured interactive exhibitions each simulating different forms of transport. One of them, the ox cart, was an important form of transportation during Taiwan’s agricultural era. During the 60s, sugar was Taiwan’s key export, making the ox cart an essential character in the story. Digital simulation and game techniques were employed to spark the curiosity of a generation that has never before ridden this primitive form of transport. Controlled by waving one’s hand, the cart shakes just like it would have in the past, the simulation helped to bring the kids back in time to an era where the ox cart was used to transport sugar cane, meandering through Kaohsiung’s old Chimei farm, with a simple objective to follow the road to complete the task.
