Walk, Discover, and Take Home Posong's Stories

Posong is in the middle of Taitung City. Its little winding streets are full of local stories. The "Go Sun!" LINE OA turns the neighborhood into a fun travel journal. Travelers walk around at their own speed, and along the way, they unlock little bits of the story. It's like a walk and a treasure hunt all in one, and you get to keep a record of it.

The Stories Are Everywhere, So How Do You Get People to Stop and Look?

The best spots in the old town are close together, but they're spread out enough that people can easily walk right past them. The shops are full of great stories too, but those stories need to be easy and fun for people to try out. The big question was: how do we get people to slow down, walk a little farther, and check out more than just the easy spots?

A 60-Second Game You Play With Your Own Hands

We used the OA's built-in map, plus simple signs around the neighborhood, so travelers could find each spot easily without bothering the shop owners. Every mini-game comes from real stories we collected from the shops. For example, A-SANG Shaved Ice has a special syrup that takes five hours to make — it's part of old Taitung history. We turned that story into a game: you tilt your phone to "pour" the syrup, so you don't just read about it, you actually get to feel it.
Every time you unlock a spot, you get a matching digital sticker. Once you collect enough, you can put them together to make your own "Taitung Expo Memory Journal" to keep. This way, the stories aren't just stuck on buildings and street signs — they live on in every food cart, every shop, and every person you meet.

A Digital Story That Turns the Old Town Into a Journal

For this project, we used people's phones to show the details of the old town, without changing the place itself. Digital games helped bring out stories that were hiding all around. The best part was watching people walk into a shop, talk with the owner for a bit, and get a warm smile back. That's what made this walk through the old town feel like a game you play as you go, and something that touches your heart along the way.
