2025 MODA AI Living Lab

AI is evolving faster than we imagined, quietly transforming everyday life. This year, MODA presented "AI Living Lab" to show the public that AI isn't a distant technology—it's an everyday companion woven into our daily routines. But here was the challenge: How do we make people tangibly feel AI's deep connection with daily life?

An AI Experiment You Can Ride Into

We chose something everyone knows—riding a bicycle—as the perfect bridge between technology and everyday life. When visitors mounted our custom bikes and turned the handlebars to choose their route, they began exploring a virtual city. Along the way, they encountered questions like: "Hop on—where do you want to start your journey?" "Where do you usually go?" "Turn a corner—how do you normally use AI?" "Waiting at a red light—how do you hope AI can make life smarter?" "Finally, look up at the sky—how are you feeling today?" These seemingly simple questions cleverly connected diverse AI application scenarios in daily life: from commute routes and daily habits to emotional awareness—all aspects where AI is already part of our lives.

After completing the ride, AI instantly analyzed each person's pedaling speed, route choices, and answers to generate a unique, personalized soundtrack, printed on-site as a cassette postcard—turning the experience into a takeable memory.

Riding Into Resonance

Over four days, more than a thousand people tried the experience, with many coming back for multiple rides. One kid pedaled at record speed, generating an intense electronic dance track. These genuine interactions showed us something important: AI applications don't need to be complex or obscure. When technology learns to listen to each person's rhythm, every moment of life can become a soundtrack worth keeping.
