Sparkling Lane - Back to Simplicity, Lighting Up Imagination

At the end of 2024, it marked a profoundly significant moment for CMP. The successive openings of the Taichung InterContinental Hotel and the CMP Inspiration brought a renewed vision to the city and opened up new realms of imagination for its people. Sparkling Lane seamlessly connects these two landmarks, serving as a bridge between them and using light and shadow as a medium for dialogue. With “returning to simplicity” as the core design concept, we interpret the spirit of Christmas through the simplest and most pristine white light. By setting aside traditional symbols and decorations, the installation preserves only the most original sense of emotion and purity. More than a festive event, it is a meaningful moment shared with CMP at the end of the year—an experience that invites reflection, connection, and imagination.

Silver-white bulbs illuminate the Calligraphy Greenway, creating a snowy scene within the urban forest.

Inspired by the concept of “Forest” embedded in the lush landscape of CMP Calligraphy Greenway, this installation transforms a 250-meter-long public green corridor into a snow-white forest path after nightfall. Stepping into the space feels like entering a serene and magical Christmas world, illuminating the city's winter scenery. Everyone is invited to wander into this forest, following the guidance of light to freely explore the hidden natural wonders tucked within the woodland.
